Laminate Veneers
Porcelain lamina
Porcelain laminates are thin porcelain plates prepared with a very small amount of abrasion from the front surface of the tooth and bonded to the tooth with special adhesives. They are generally applied for aesthetic purposes. Lamina applications can be performed to correct the aesthetic appearance of separated teeth with gaps between them, to remove the deformities of broken or worn teeth, and to correct the deteriorated tooth colour in cases where whitening cannot be achieved. It can be applied for a wide age group, but it is not recommended for those with gum disease and bruxism. Depending on the condition of the person, the treatment can be completed in an average of 7-10 days.
Advantages
• One of the most important advantages is that the amount of abrasion required on the tooth is very small.
• It does not wear easily and there is no colour change.
• Treatment time is short.
• They do not need any extra care other than routine oral care.
• Since it has a light transmitting structure, an aesthetic appearance can be obtained in real tooth appearance.
Post-Treatment Care and Lifetime
Porcelain laminates have a lifespan as with every type of prosthesis. Not neglecting oral and dental care benefits this situation and offers a life-extending effect. During and after the treatment process, it can be used easily for many years by following the conditions specified by the dentist.
